Andor is a new show on Disney+ spawned from the Star Wars universe that is a prequel series to the original movie based on the character of Cassian Andor in Rogue One. We are going to talk about the show and why I think the first season is not only one of the best seasons of television all year but also the best single season of Star Wars television ever. This show to me as a hardcore fan of Star Wars is everything I didn’t know I needed from a new show in this franchise. It captured me, and made me really appreciate the world in which was created by showrunner Tony Gilroy to the point where I feel this show is the truest piece of Star Wars media we’ve had since the original trilogy from George Lucas. We will talk about it all here in a small video essay review. Enjoy!
